Expression opportunities begin with Soul Sessions, a performance platform party for artists to meet, perform and party in a warm, inspiring, non-judgmental community of fellow artists who practice tolerance, acceptance, encouragement and support for individual and collective artistic expression. Featured in Scout Cambridge and the Metro as a weekend pick, named the “best underground art show in Boston,” soul sessions are inspiring performance parties that you give you a chance to get inside the lights and let your soul shine.
Participation in 1 or more sessions grants you membership into The Soul Collective [TSC], whereby you receive firsthand invitations to perform at upcoming sessions. Artists who are a member of The Soul Collective are given opportunities to participate in Soulabs, Soulaborations and Soulstice Soirees. Options to pay the TSC Fee of $25.00 will also grant you immediate access to The Soul Collective network, an online profiling system that connects artists with one another.
Soulab/Soulaborations/Soulstice Soirees
Soulab – a meeting/laboratory of souls who create new work together
Soulaborations – pre-meditated collaborations as presentations of work created from Soulab, usually presented at Soul Sessions, or spontaneous soulabs occurring at sessions
Soulstice Soirees – Potluck performance parties held on the Soulstice to invite in the new season in community and expression.
The Soul Collective
The Soul Collective (TSC) emerged as a group of artists who kept on coming back to the sessions to share and shine their light. It was a way for me as the founder to honor the participation of collaborators and community artists. It evolved into the group of performing artists who had attended at least 8 sessions, performed at sessions, recruited audience and artists to sessions, promoted and have shown a dedication and passion for the growth of Soul Sessions. Now, The Soul Collective is open to anyone who takes a step up and shares their light at their first session.
